Airplanes and Hotels

I’m finally here! I’m in Beijing. It’s 5 am in the morning here and I’ve been up since like 3 am. #jetlag. Since I’m up I decided to write a quick recap of plane ride and hotel stay.

The plane ride was a little less 14 hours long. It was completely smooth sailing…flying? Strangely enough I did not sleep. I tried for like two hours, but that’s about it. I watched a lot of movies. Shoutout to Will Ferrel he’s probably my favorite comedian. I also caught up on some reading I have been doing for pleasure.

Long flights can be fun but also really cramped. You’re in a confined space for a really long time. I took a few walks around the cabin and actually made friends with two of the flight attendants. It is actually really important to do so your feet don’t swell up. At one point we got a beautiful shot where the sky looked pink. I’ll add that picture for you to see. They also provide meals on rides that long and snacks. Some people complained but I liked it. All of the meals were hot. And dinner included a small caramel ice cream. The meals were also surprisingly feeling.

When we finally got here it was so great taking it all in. On the ride from the airport to the hotel, the majority of feel asleep so I cannot describe the ride to the hotel, but we are taking a bus tour of Beijing at some and I will be awake for that. Our hotel is nice and simple. We share a room with someone and it has enough space for two people. The only different thing is that the toilet is not in the same room with shower and the sink. Also I got locked in the toilet room twice. Haha. Well that’s just a quick recap to update everyone. Today we have two really exciting things planned and I will have plenty more to blog about.
