Not Goodbye, but a See you Later

I can’t believe my trip is over. These past ten days in China have been some of the best days of my life. This trip has been so great. I have learned so much and have had so many great experiences. I feel so blessed to have been able to go on this trip. Next time I will definitely visit for much longer.

China is so such a beautiful country and the people are outstanding. They are so loving and kind. I can’t wait to come back. We visited 10 different organizations from government organizations to new outlets. We visited Alibaba which blew my mind and Disney’s headquarters marketing department which was magnificent as expected. We also did many tourist things such as walking the Great Wall and taking a cruise on the Bund. Our trip was just so great and unfortunately so short.

My favorite thing was meeting new people and making new friends. Our world is so big, but for the most part. We humans are all the same. Everywhere you go human nature is the same. We have so much more in common than we have different. That’s why I like traveling. The other reason is I learned some things about myself. I’m not sure if anyone else on the trip came to some of the same conclusions I did, but this trip helped me in a very personal way. I feel refreshed about my purpose as well as ready to finish this school year successfully and move to the next chapter of my life. This trip sparked that.

I didn’t get as much alone time as I wanted so my time for reflection has been during this last day back, but I have so much to reflect on. This opportunity was truly a blessing. This trip wasn’t perfect- nothing is perfect- but it was pretty darn close. I feel very blessed to have been able to be a part of it. This for sure is not a goodbye to China, but a see you later. I will definitely be back.
