Today starts my explaining my spring break China process. I will be documenting the process. My goal is for those who are considering studying abroad for spring break or even a semester to refer back to this blog for tips and to know what to do.

Here we go:

Application:

The first step to studying abroad is applying for it. The application can be online or printed out. The application is usually very simple. The basics like your name, major, recommendations, and why you want to visit the destination. Always do your best. You don’t have to do it all in one day.

Deposit:

Any program you participate in will require you to put down a deposit. Depending on the location and the length of your travel the deposit changes. A deposit can be $50 or even $2,000. Most programs won’t allow you to move on until you pay that deposit. So turn that deposit in fast

Paperwork:

Any study abroad experience will involve lots of paperwork. It will involve forms from your school, the school you will attend, and forms that your doctor needs to sign. My particular school has an international travel department where we you send your application and make sure everything is together for you.

*Make sure you are registered for class and the classes help to graduate.
