I’m going to China

Like I have mentioned before I am going to China!!! This will be my first trip to that part of the globe, but I guarantee not my last. I am so excited. I can’t wait. This is going to be a great trip. This will be the furthest I have ever been from the home. China is much further Oman. It’s located in Eastern Asia.

This is introductory post about China. I am sure you have heard of China. I mean the president of the United States talks about it constantly. I will still give you some basic information about the country.

• China is the world’s most populous nation

• It’s also the world’s second largest country by land area

• The capital is Beijing and the largest city is Shanghai (I’m visiting both)

• They speak Chinese

• The currency is Chinese Yuan

• 1 Yuan is equal to .15 of the US dollar

The trip to China will take between 15 hours to 19 hours. Yes, that’s right. This plane trip will take almost a day! In a few posts I will talk about some entertaining things to do on a long plane trip.

These next few post will be about the study abroad program and all that goes into it. My hope is that you will refer back to this blog when you decide to study abroad. I will post the steps, some tips, and suggestions.

Traveling is an amazing experience and I believe everyone should be able to experience it. When you travel and meet different people it opens your mind to be able to see the world differently.
